Featured Project: 326 S. Broadway – CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This core and shell project consists of a 11,400 square foot revitalization of an 1890’s building, and 125 feet of new exterior facade. A very unique feature of this building is that was built utilizing “trapeze trusses” along with heavy wood timbers. This also brings some unconventional challenges of removing and replacing the column grids to provide the more conventional 30’x125’ deep retail spaces that are common in metro areas. The project will require shoring of the entire roof structure to allow for removal of failed wood beams, erection of new structural steel and structural concrete, etc. Once, completed the building will rival its competition across the street that is nearly new. Will you be able to tell this structure is some 120 years older than its counterpart when driving by?
